View Full Version : Sea movement, fires from afar

A couple of questions:

1. Sea movement - If an amphibeous unit can move 2 provinces, can it move to a land province and then a sea province in 1 turn?

2. Fires from Afar - If I cast this on an enemy force and then engage in battle with that enemy force on the same turn, will the enemy force have units that are wounded and/or have battle afflictions as a result of the Fires from Afar?
(i.e. suppose the flame bolt hit a 30hp unit or for 20 damage, will the unit start the battle with 10hp?).

3. If I'm besieging a castle, will there by an indication of the size of the enemy force inside the castle displayed on the map? (i.e. a typical enemy force "square"). I can't remember, and an enemy force that was once next to me has disappeared (no stealthy units in it) and I was wondering if it went inside the castle I'm besieging.

thanks in advance

hi jeffr, I'm still a noob but I think I can help with some of this:

1) Not sure but I think you can only move 1 province from land into water.

2) The fires may kill some troops and maim some but they will heal all hit points for the battle.

3) Not sure but I think you can only see the defending force if you have a scout/spy in your army. I've been in situations where I'm sieging and can't see anything while in others I get scout reports as normal.

Healing only happens at the very end of the turn. Any injured units will still be injured during the battle.

I didn't know that! Thanks for correcting. It's good to know.

I know for sure that flyers can move into the sea while being non-adjacent, but they cannot move more than one province into the sea, nor can they move more than one province when they start in the sea. So I'd answer yes, you can!

A Scout will be useless, only a spy will give you some information on besieged armies.
