I've joined in as Jotunheim.
Is there some reason we're not using 2.15?

I've joined as Pythium, this is my first multiplayer game. Renaming = 1 means it is allowed, correct? I need to be able to rename units or I will go mad.
This means I will need a seperate installation with patch 2.14, correct?

The game is on 2.14 because Mosehansen has not updated to 2.15. You do not need a separate installation: simply having the 2.14 executable is enough.
Of course, if you have upgraded to 2.15 without keeping any previous exe file, you will have to reinstall the game and reapply the 2.14 patch (how to download the patch can be found in my little Dominions MP guide). Alternatively, I can send the 2.14 Windows executable if you want.

Hi, I connected but noticed that Pangaea is taken. I've only played about 5 games, all as Pangaea, and am still trying to figure them out. I've lasted a while (about midgame to late midgame) in each game, but ended up getting blasted.
So, if you need another player and are willing to give up Pangaea, I'll gladly play. If not, I'll be on the lookout for your next new game.
thanks, jeff

Would you? Thanks! I left the CD at work - I'll install it on my work machine as soon as I've got the graphics card working.
you could e-mail it to me at: samuelBACON.HAMhandelman@gmail.com
minus pork products
or put it on my ftp:
ftp://kokor:heckus@160.39.40.236
the ftp account has write permission in its own root.
Thanks,

So long as you do not play two nations on two different computers on the same turn, it should work, but no promises here. I believe the game checks the key and the computer used to play, and will trigger the key alert if two nations use the same key and different computers.
Playing several nations with the same computer and key is fine, and switching computers should be fine too. You may want to "carry around" your .2h files however, as otherwise you will have trouble connecting to the game from the other computer. The files can be found in the Dominions2\[Game_Name] repertory, and they are the [Nation_Name].2h files; those contain all your orders for the current turn.

*Sigh*
I seem to have a problem.
I made drafts of my pretender for this game on Azhur's computer and when he instructed me of how to join the game I clicked Vanheim on nation selection. Now when I try to play the game on my computer I always get the message "CD key violation". I can't seem to be able to continue this game with Azhur playing as well, so I'll just become computer controlled, if I can.

Where the Pretender has been created should not matter: replacing players in my games had no problem playing two nations at once, theirs and another created on another computer. Having created two Pretenders with the same key may be the problem, however. Either that, or you are both using the same key at the moment, on different computers.

Yes, I think the problem is using the same CD key on two computers. I joined the game on Azhur's computer, partially by accident, and Azhur of course used his own computer to join. Regardless, I made Vanheim computer controlled, assuming it worked with the CD-key violation, so you get at least a computer player to compete against. It might be an easy opponent compared to human players but beats the other alternative; a starting province with just the stariting troops and no way to retaliate.
Hope this didn't cause any of you distress.

Turning into computer does not work either.
I tried doing nothing else in the turn but turning into an AI player. So that means that unless you want to restart the game someone will get an allmost free castle at province 95.
