I posted this in the tech support thread, but no one replied. I have now confirmed that DOM 2 ver 2.16 causes the Mac OS to reboot randomly during game play. I have put this Mac to the test, playing other games and proceessor intensive actions, and the only time it reboots without warning is while playing Dom 2.16. Please fix this. When you are on turn 100+ of a game, and turns are taking 30 minutes or more, this is a sure fire bummer.

Maybe the problem is with the Mac's SDL implementation. I don't think that the Illwinter developers know much about Macs; they depend on SDL for cross-platform release.
By the way, do you use full screen or windowed option? I have found the windowed version to be amazingly stable. I let Dom2 stay open for days without problems.

Haven't experienced this on any of my three Macs.
Mac #1 is an iBook running 10.1.4
Mac #2 is a PowerBook G4 running 10.2, then 10.3, now 10.4.1
Mac #3 is an iMac (Dome) running 10.1, then 10.2, then 10.3, now 10.4.1
I had Dom2 cause random reboots when using mods with errors in them. Chances are, it isn't the Dom2 engine, but some mod you're using.

I haven't seen this on my 12" powerbook. Perhaps you could try installing a different version of SDL.

No problems here on a Frankenstein Mac running 10.3.9 or any previous system in the past year...

An old first-edition Sawtooth G4, with upgraded RAM, processor, internal HD, video card, and an external RAID with PCI controller. Also, lots and lots of added software, much of it low-level, and sometimes not-particularly-skillfully installed.
In other words, plenty of opportunities for conflicts and crashes. Thankfully, they don't happen.

OK. It's my Mac then. Thanks for all the replies guys. I'll re-install the game.
