Were those taken in windowed or full screen? If they were full screen that's the first one we have seen

Ok, but what is the program???

Yep! if you took these screenies in fullscreen mode they are much better than the one with FSScreen program I use.

In any case you forgot to tell us the name of the program. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Don't know what WB is using but Hypersnap works fine in Full Screen Mode. At least it does for me.

Is there any special option to set?
I started the Hypersnap, then the game in full screen, hit Ctrl+shift+f but instead of the main page game it took a screenshot of my desktop.

I'm certainly doing something wrong, can you spare some time and post a lil help for me, and a fast reference for the other users?

Thanks in advance! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Be sure your scroll lock and your num lock are turned off, Double D.

Yes, Hypersnap is exactly what I use.

Also, make sure all folders are closed except Hypersnap.

1. Find the screenshot in the game you want. Minimize the game if you can.
2. Open Hypersnap.
3. Open the game again. Press scroll lock.
4. Open up the Hypersnap and crop edit as you wish.

If that is complicated, then open Hypersnap first. Then get your game file where you want it. Then press scroll lock then open Hypersnap and prepare your pic.

Just so we are all clear here.... were these screen shots taken with Hypersnap done while the game was running full screen or windowed mode??

The way I do it is the following:

!. I close all programs and start hypersnap. I minimize it but keep it open. Besure that scroll lock is off and num lock is off. If you use ICQ, you must also shut it down. It interferes with Hypersnap.

2. I start the game and depending when amd where I want to take the screen shot, I pause the game and then I minimize it, by pressing the scroll lock button. You can also put it in windowed mode too. THat is so you can see Hypersnap and the picture you have taken.

3. I then maximize Hypersnap and look at my picture. If I like it, I crop or make whatever changes I wish and then save it as a jpg file.

4. If I intend to take more, I keep hypersnap open and follow the same process.

This works best for me, Don.

Ah, now I understand the question Don was asking. Did I take a picture of the entire map? No, it won't quite fit, unless I use a smaller map setting. I haven't tested but I think it would have to be around 50x50 to get the entire map in one shot, reducing it of course to a smaller zoom level.

That's what I was asking. If it was taken while the game was running in full screen mode.

No Bill. I was asking you if you were running the GAME in full screen mode or windowed mode when you took the screen shot.

WinSPMBT can run as a fullscreen application or windowed application. The default mode is fullscreen when you start up the game from GameOptions but you can select it to run as a windowed application as well.

We had only been able to get screen shots in windowed mode before this. I was asking you to confirm that these shots were taken while the game was running in full screen mode

Okay. Thanks for clarifying. Full screen, Don. Hypersnap is running in the background. Only two programs running, Hypersnap and SPMBT.

I press scroll/lock, minimize SPMBT and call up hypersnap. My picture is there.

So yes, full screen mode.

Just curious, how do you minimize WinSPMBT while it's running fullscreen? I could do it repeatedly with the DOS version by pressing my windows start key but that doesn't work for me WinSPMBT ( but I was one of the few who could get away with that trick in DOS over and over )

The Windows key works for me (the one between ctrl and alt with the picture)
BTW Window key + m minimizes all windows open. Great for at work when the boss walks in.

Same with me.

Yep. That's the exact key I use to be able to use to minimize the DOS game. If almost anyone else tried it they crashed their machine. For me it worked 100% every time. It does diddly for me with WinSPMBT set to full screen. I can press it all I want and not a thing happens

I've taken screenshots in full screen mode with
Ultima Online Screenshot Utility (UOSO)

Link to UOSO (http://www.hh.iij4u.or.jp/~kmatuoka/uosu/indexe.html)

Here's an example taken using UOSO, which takes over your "PRINT SCREEN" button:

I tried UOSU a week ago, couldn't make it work.
Wonder what I did wrong. I got the "ding" but no jpeg.

Just had it run in the background , hit print screen , alt+tab and ctrl-V to paste the image in photoshop

mmm, what's the fuss about ? Running the game in windowed mode PrtScrn key works quite well for me... Maybe you're all talking about full-screen mode in high res (that I don't have with the free version) ?

Running the game in windowed mode and pressing ALT+PrtScrn DOES for well but only for Windowed mode. It deos not work for Fullscreen mode which is the way a lot of people run the game. To take one in Fullscreen you need a program like Hypersnap or UOSU
