Annoying delay when selecting unit info or options

When I right click or press the spacebar for unit info I get a delay of 3 to 5 seconds before the info comes up. I get the same delay when pressing the game options button. Is there a fix for this? I'm running an Athlon FX-53 with 2 gigs of RAM and a GeForce 6800 Ultra so my system meets game requirements. Why does the game run so slow?

Every system is different. We set it up so that it made everyone who playtested it happy ( about 20 people ) but once you get 4000 people running it the boundries are pushed a bit. It does not run that slow for me

Try adjusting the message delay slider in the Preferences screen then , if that doesn't help read through the thread "slow animation " and you may find the answer you seek
