I am setting up an interacitve user campaign. This is like a computer generated campiagn, except that a volunteer purchases and deploys the opposing forces (the computer does a good job of it, but not as good as a person can).

It is a US vs. China campaign, taking place in Taiwan, in 2009. China invades the island, and the US responds. The US core force will be a reinforced light infantry battalion (airborne), with attack-chopper assests.

I'm planning on five battles in the campaign - plus a 'zero' battle to allow auxillery units in the first real battle.

If you would like to do me a favor by setting up a battle, i'd be happy to recipricate, either by setting up for you, or building a map (my specialty). I would email you a scenario that is complete except for the enemy deployment; ie, a complete map, set objectives, usually a purchase AI force (which can be used or not), and a short narative of the battle situation (which you can follow or not, depending on how devious you are).

Post here or email me at

Thanks!

PS - Plasma, i sent you a file but it bounced back. Have you gotten anything from me in the last 24h.?

Still looking for some help. You don't need to be an expert, just be willing to deploy the Chinese attacking forces with some common sense.

I added the scenario as an attachment in the first post, if you want to take a look at what you'd be getting into.

Hi Dan!

I'll try this one ASAP, but I tested your first scenario as is and even with your basic deploy, the Chinese have nearly overrun the island and plunged into the Pacific ocean, standing on their brakes! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

And the Taiwanese fight like, well, tigers! The test was IA vs IA, and on turn 10 they had not a single infantry squad destroyed! At first sight I would never have thought they would hold that long!

Plasma, i got it. I'll start after work today.

Yes, the Chinese forces are powerful, but so is the US Airborne battalion, with all the TOW jeeps. Just so long as the have the room to 'shoot and run'. The troopers have the new M29 rifles and a section of the new M307 grenade launchers per company. These, along with the Javelins, give them some real standoff capability.

I'd be more than happy to help out -- especially in return for a map =).

I've emailed you separately. Thanks.
