Since there sees to be a gap in maps between Urgaia size and Aran, here is an attempt to fill it. I was planning to move around the population numbers for better balance, but when I set the exact pop it doesn't seem to get overwritten if the province becomes a capital.

An improved .map file with port connections.

How many provinces does this map have?
Anything else gamers should know about the map?

72. And province 33 should not be there, but it does not effect much and would be a huge pain to fix.

Did you only download the second attachment? If so, you need the graphical file from the first attachment.

Running on Linux with case-sensitive filenames it errors also. The files unzipped as Argaria.*, but the map file has the tga with a lowercase name. Change it to "#imagefile Argaia.tga" if you make another version. Maybe you want province #32 nostart also? That's a really big block of forest too. How would it look with #52 as a freshwater lake or something else up there to break it up some? Or just play Pangaea a lot http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I can tell you spent some time on it -- nice details.

Glad you like the map. There are some issues with it, I agree. However at this point I think I would rather devote my map making energy to a new one rather than patch this one up. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
