Cool one, I like the elimination idea. You easily got rid of 'unbalanced scenario' problems. Sadly, my dance card is full with PBEMs and my own tourneys, besides no point to join another ladder just to play in one tourney.

Yeah, until you get to the last round. Then it requires a mirrored battle to balance it.

Actually I try to follow your tourney threads at Blitz for ideas. At the present time Blitz is the place for tournaments and a tenured ladder. Hopefully the guys over there don't take it the wrong way as i try to bring SZO up to those standards. Not to compete but to build up the SP Base and add a little flavour into the mix. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Thats my third SP tourney at blitz. This one is a quickie, no much hassle with designing. Just want to atract people to play MBT. More complex tourney, which I have planned still needs lots of tweaking.

Always happy to exchange ideas, and it is nice of you to admitt you looking for ideas from my tourney. Not everybody has the guts to do so.

As for Blitz - no offence, but IMO it is best wargaming club ATM, and SP ladder has excellent custodian. I will make his day by quoting you about his high standards http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Dont worry about competing, there is enuff room for several good SP ladders. If you need any help or have questions about Blitz mail me and I'll try to help or will contact you with Steel God, our custodian. I hope you can bring SZO to such a high level that Blitz will have to improve to meet YOUR standards.

Maybe we can work up some sort of interclub tourney like the Combat Mission players have done between SZO and Blitz. Hmmm. Maybe I need to cruise in there and see how things are developing. Might get even more ideas. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I know SG well but Weasel only slightly. You are right about the custodian quality over there.

AND we are revamping our Ladder as we speak to make it "even more competetive" with the others out there. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

I am all yours for that idea http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I guess we might have bloody yet fair contest out of it. As I know most of top Blitzers well, they will be delighted with an possibility to kick competetive club's a... instead of doing this to friends http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Chris (weasel) does an excellent job, only difference he hasn't been custodian as long as Paul has.
