I thought I posted this but I can't find it.

Are there strongpoints, bunkers or fortifications in Win SMMBT?

In MISC,Wild Bill,in MISC under BUY.

Evident but important point: fortifications can be bought only on "assault" mode by the defender (engagement mode cursor pushed all the way left or right), and will generally show up on top of the MISC buying list.
To have bunkers or mine in other game modes, shift the cursor afterwards, BEFORE buying any IA troops however.

Yes,

as Plasmakrab said, altering the type/parameters of engagement will influence any additional unit not those already deployed on the map.
