If humanoid rainbow mage type pretenders would start with three or four dispersed paths and would retain their poor physical stats and start dominion?

I would try giving them first two or three dispersed paths, and try how that works. If it is still too small, then it can be increased more.

Every new path for the mage-types gives them more than just pre-spent 10 points - it enables mages to go for level 4, for blessings.
Blood 4 Fire 4 would for 106 points is not that bad, especially when one considers that general rainbow might already have Blood 2 and Fire 2/3. I think that might make the less-powerful sacred units more interesting, as taking a low-level dual-bless would be much cheaper and it would be easier to make a rainbow with chosen path at level 4. As an example, if the Master Druid would have Nature and Earth, Pythium could take both a rainbow and Earth blessing.

I am not good at finding out if something is balanced or not. However, I think that Mages having more starting paths would be an improvement, but that them having four would warrant a price increase. Also, 3 will be enough for most, and that might be too much for some. The only one I think I would give 4 paths is Great Enchantress, and I think I would take away her gem-generation and up her price a little.

Why Great Enchantress?

For some reason, I thought she was Great Sorceress. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/redface.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
