I'm playing a PBEM game and in starting up round 15 or so, I get a message saying "Has your opponent restarted?" or something like that. I said "no". What does this message mean and how should I respond to it?

I looked in the manual but see nothing.

Thanks!

Was it..."Security - Has opponent reloaded?" ??

So - the game thinks your opponent has re-loaded the turn to replay it (accidentally or on purpose).

That is why it says "Security has opponent reloaded?", as a heads up that the fails counter has gone> 0.

What is the fails count in the totals screen? - it will likely be 1 or more.

Manual, "Playing by Email" secton, paragraph "PBEM Security Information".

Have a word with your opponent, and keep an eye on the fails counter from now on, in case it increases again..

Oh I see, reloaded = fail counter. Gotcha. Thanks.

Is there any reason why in a PBEM game my fails count would be like 18 (I haven't done anything weird at all with it) and my opponents counts, despite the fact that its game turn 24 or so, are coming up as 1 turn, 1 load and 1 fail (or something like that)?

I mean, I'm getting some really weird readings here.

Already covered in the other thread on this subject.

Are you
- unzipping your game turn several times to retry
- trying to use slot say 4 for > 1 concurrent game
- tryng to play the game on different SP installations (like on your laptop sometimes if away from home)

Sorry I missed the topic being covered. I hadn't seen the thread on this issue. Anyhow, I have not done any of the things you mention. I don't know if opponent has or has not.

p.s. Thanks for great game! Ordering the CD right now ...
