I am a long term player of SP.
When I installed WINSP-CD and played the 73 easting scenario, my M1's seem unable to see the enemy through the sand/smoke, and the Iraqi T72 have a field day shooting at me.
In the DOS version of SP this was not the case, there I could spot enemy vehicles before they could spot me.
Did anything change?

Have you approached to within the 40 hex TI vision level yet?. (You start > 40 hexes from the enemy).
I just started this one up, and then I advanced some M-1 to behind a smoke screen. They could definately see & fire on the Iraqui units on the other side of the smoke.

Use the scout helos to find the enemy also. Them move behind their and your smoke to get them.

I start and slowly approach, and then the T72 start firing at me and I cannot see them. Even when a M1 is hit it can often not see the T72.
Should I lay my own smoke or is the pre game bombardment smoke enough? Can the T72's see through their smoke?

I would use the pre game smoke for a while then emply yours. The 2 helos will help you a lot in finding all the enemy.

Thanks everyone, I played the scenario (and won).
But the T72 seem more challenging now then they used to be.

I also played it and enjoyed immensly turning the nice Arabian desert into a junkyard :-D.
The helos did most of the spotting but they vboth were damaged and withdrawn.
Artur.
