I can't seem to find information on the defensive values of terrain/building types. Is there a chart somewhere or can someone post some details.

Thanks

If you seek some info about the various terrain types in the game,

1)open the manual from the help tab of the first screen

2)then select "maps and terrain types" on the chapter list of the manual.

You will find lot of useful information there, sorted by terrain type.

Thanks for the reply. I went through the section on terrain types that you suggested. I'm looking more for numerical values that reflect the advantage/disadvantage of defending or attacking such terrain. Such as +2 cover for forest -3 for attacking +4 cover for building -4 for attacking that sort of thing.

There was no such information in the original Steel Panthers manual, either.

The game code does not use simple column-modifier shifts eother, the cover effects are shotgunned throughout the combat code. Therefore there really is no simple table to provide.

There are some guidance notes in that section about whether a particular terrain type produces good or some cover.
