Okay, The game will be TCP/IP, but only to avoid the hassle of PBEM. You can submit turns as fast as everyone else but it is not a blitz game. Turns should be submitted at least every three days, but I will host the game nearly 24/7 so that you can submit whenever you want-

-open to Mod suggestions as I am a noob-
-I would prefer RPers to just players.
-Players are welcome too and I would like to start soon so it will basically be as soon as we get 7 or 8 players
-the map will be Zen's Europe (europe form medieval total war) which I can provide
-Standard settings depending on Mod, diplomacy allowed
-anything that you know in-game you can share in this forum, such as state of war or an alliance you wish to be public

blah blah blah, Yeah, so whatever. I need suggestions more than anything so I'm looking for fairly active and friendly players etc.

P.S.- noob to MP for this game not this game or games similar to it (SEIV) and I understand modding and such tho I can't very well- requires to great a commitment of concentration- So, I am capable of hosting the game and accepting your pretender files and such- but this will be my first MP game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

I'd like to play, but only if it's a little faster than that. The last two games I've joined started out as 24h quickhost, and rapidly degenerated to like a turn a week.

Stuff always comes up, and I still don't see why anyone would be unable to play 1 turn a day (or at worst leave a message asking for a delay).

I like all 4 of Zen's mods, so whether I'm in or not, I recommend using them. And probably bar Atlantis and R'lyeh if you're playing Europe.

I had thought of barring the water races So I'll agree to that and if enough ppl sign up and feel they can submit faster i will agree to a mandatory faster pace.

Id like to join, preferbly with all 4 of zens mods. And if we use cherry's unit rebalance mod I would like to take Tien Chi, other wise I would like Man.

Hmm, I'd be interested in another MP Dom2 game, seeing as the first one I joined never really got around to finishing and the second I lost in... I guess I'll be Mictlan, just to be interesting (and probably seal my doom http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I'm interested in playing as Pangaea. I've never even finished a game against the AI so I'd say I qualify as a newbie...

I'm interested. I agree with Hubris, though. A faster pace, especially early in the game when turns only take a few minutes, really helps. People stay more interested, don't forget to keep checking, etc.
If you do want to run a slower game, I'd recommend getting email addresses so people can be notified of new turns (and nagged if necessary)

All that said, I think I'll take Jotunheim. Big evil giants to crush all the little peoples of the world.

I'll play Abyssa.

And I'm all for Zen's mods. And I would need the map.

Huhu,

If you'll have me, I'll take (hold on still trying to decide).

Vanheim!

I was thinking of Vanheim. With all those big ocean provinces to cross, Vanheim will be fun. Of course, you'll probably start completely landlocked.

Hi all,

I am a newbie MP player in Dom II and i'd like to join very much. My first preference for this game would be Man.

I'd like to use Zen's balance mods and Turin's hero mod which really adds to the value of national heroes!

Whollaborg, I already claimed man, provided we are not using cherries balance mods.

If there's still room, I'd like Mictlan.

I claimed Mictlan already... though if you REALLY want it I could change...

That's fine. Is Tien Chi taken?

Tyrant

I'd like to play, but i am ignorant of the mods and might need some help with that. I am not a complete noob, i have played 4 net games, two of whiched collapsed early on. If that's not ok just say so. I'd like to play Caelum or C'tis.

RibbonBlue

Tien Chi is not taken, unless we are using cherries balance mod, in which case I really really wan't tien chi. If not I got man.

If still room and Tyrant opts for Caelum id be interested in C'tis.

Never played a multi player before so total noob in that respect heh, any settings or mods fine with me.

ok, sorry for not noticing you reservation.

Its fine with me if you go with Man.
Perhaps moderator could edit the first post to list all the reserved races?

Hmm, no news lately... what's the standing of this game?

Hubris

I picked up a second game, so I think I'm out of this one

Aegis has not posted for 2 weeks, so i'm assuming this was a red herring. :<

Well, we have a bunch of players together... maybe someone else could host?

I am going to drop out.

gonna drop out as well sorry. Got into the all nations game as this seemed to have stalled.

Whollaborg
August 28th, 2005, 09:57 AM
I drop out from this one too!

I agree Ed Kolis. Perhaps we could gather a game that runs on moosehansend or so. Perhaps one of the more experinced players could volunteer to do the job and thus get more reliable players and so on...

oki, i am out too, i do not think that that game will resurect.

It's too bad. I am thinking of getting into a new game. I saw this one and the All Nations game, but I don't like the fact that they are hosted by people who haven't been around the forum for long. I figure that hosting a game benefits from experience. More importantly, people who have been around for a while will have a reputation regarding their honesty and responsibility. Cheating sucks, of course, as does flaking out. I understand that life sometimes makes demands that cause people to drop out, but there is a responsible way to handle that -- communication.

Good points Sushi!

As you can see, i as newbie would like some of you to take the initiative on giving us The Game!

I think the all the nations game is going to blow up in a drama bomb http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.

I am interrested in another game, but i think a new start(with ne topic etc.) would be very helpfull.
