Just reinstalled the game and got an error... >.<
Almost at the end of the installation it said
something about aran.tga, I tried to
reboot the machine since the uptime was a
month I guessed that was the problem...
Sadly to say it was'nt.
Nevertheless I could install the latest patch,
and enter the game. After creating my god I
went to choose the map, but only aran.map (8kb)
and aran.tga (0kb) was to be found...
So when chosing that map I got this message:
myloadmalloc: can't open ./maps/aran.tga

I can see what the problem is, but I don't know
how to solve it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

Hopefully this is a known problem with a simple
sulution, but I could'nt find it in the forum.
Perhaps my searchmethod was incorrect.

Greatfull for any advice.

This make me blush...
I solved the problem by copy and paste the "map"
folder from the installationdisc to the installdir...

Sounds like there was a smudge at that point on the CD during the install. Glad it worked out ok eventually.
