I'm trying to figure out how to make the transport aircraft fly and drop the paras for a scenario. I've tried various ways to do that with no success.

Anybody want to help with this.

1. How do you make transports drop troops?

2. Can you designate a general area for their drop?

WB,

1. Buy the para (along with the needed air transport planes).
2. In the deployment map, load the para troops into the air transport planes.
3. Select the planes and make them Aux or Fix
4. Go to the bombardment/airstrikes etc... pre-plan menu [hot-key B] and switch to the Airborne menu.
5. Select the entry/exit direction
6. Select/adjust the time/turn of para drop
7. Pick a landing zone - Place the cursor and target the point of the LZ para drop hex (the same way you indicate an airstrike)

cheers,
Pyros

Step 3 is not really needed (except perhaps in a user campaign?).

Step 4 is probably the problem Bill has - the new bombardment screen has a button to cycle between the various pages. Manual "artillery bombardment" section just under the first page - see the "switch to" button write-up, and the "airborne page" paragraph.

Cheers
