Hey Guys quick question regarding individual vehicle views.
I did play TSATC demo before I bought Raging Tiger, so I wasnt as familiar with the GUI when I tried it. I noticed that the individual vehicle view for TSATC was best called "war game counter-like" as opposed to the vehicle profile view in RT. My question is; is there a way to change the individual vehicle view in TSATC to look like RT?

Using the Power Toolkit and a little "elbow-grease" you could do it yourself. But there is no in-game view that provides this capability.
Sorry.

Don't trust me on this because it is only a faint memory, but didn't Curt release an alternate counter set for RT? I'm sure he will chime in, but I'll ask him at work today to post an answer here.

Sorry I took so long to respond, Craigs. There is no alternative "picture" icon for Raging Tiger. I recommend using the NATO icons if the side views bother you.
Like Pat said, you CAN use the Power Toolkit to create your own database and copy all of the TSATC icons into the Raging Tiger database, then point copy over the raging tiger ".pca" file and point the new database to this file for available icons while you are working on your version of the database. Then you will need to step through each vehicle in the database and give it the new picture icon and destroyed icon.
The last step in all of this would be to create new scenarios using this database, but that is rather simple, because all you are doing is taking a copy of the original scenario and applying the database.
It isounds involved, and it is. However, if you want to have different icons, that's the way to go for now. All of that being said, I was working on a set of overhead "ATF style" icons, but I just didn't have the time with the new projects I have been engaged in.
Good luck, and let us know if you have any problems so we can help you make your experience with your purchase even better!

Hey, Thanks for taking the time to respond. Thats what I was thinking I would have to do, just a bit tedious. Ive practiced by adding the T-62 to RT.
A couple of questions I love to ask you Curt, but the one that comes to mind first is where do you get the DEM files? I imagine Prosimco buys them from USGS? Are International DEM's available for free? I know many of the US DEM's are free. Otherwise Im stuck fighting those dang Commies here in Richmond.
Hmmm...here in Richmond.

You can find a lot of DTED data for free from the USGS. Pat would have to answer about his source, but we DO have to pay for things some times.

I purchased USGS SRTM (shuttle radar topography something-or0other) data in DTED format, and then converted it to USGS DEMs, that I used to produce the maps.
You can purchase this data here:
