Since I wasn't sure how many of the visitors here frequent the Strategy Zone Online Forums I thought this should be made public here as well. Besides I wanted the people here to know how much Shrapnel is supporting the SP Community, in particular the guys of CAMO Group.
Shrapnel Games has announced they will donate as a prize a free game from their online store to the winner of the ACG/SZO WinSPMBT User Campaign Design Contest? If you haven't started creating your Campaign for submission you're not too late yet. Visit ACG/SZO to get more details about the contest.

OK, I finally have time to post the results of the contest. While several designers had to drop out because of RL issues and time constraints I can tell you that the 2 who went through the process and submitted a completed project did an excellent job. After several combined weeks of detailed inspection, testing and playing of these campaigns by the judges a winner was finally decided. I planned to keep the judges names in confidence unless they wish to speak up and they are free to do so.
Congratulations to Artur who was declared the winner although only by a very close margin. Here are the final scores based on the averages of those given by the 3 judges.
artur = 76.0
deshh44 = 74.3
As winner, artur will receive the prize offered up by Shrapnel Games. The 1st place prize is a free game of the winner's choice from the Shrapnel Games online store. Also in their kindness Shrapnel Games has offered to award the 2nd place contestant a Gift Certificate to be used as credit toward any game from their online store as well. I will be contacting both designers by PM/email and arranging for them to receive their prizes so you 2 do not need to contact Shrapnel. They passed all the info along to me.
I will be posting both of the campaigns as soon as the designers let me know they are ready as I ask them to make any final tweaks and let me know when they are ready for official release. Ironically both campaigns were set on the African continent and I know you will find them very enjoyable. Actually both were very fun and it was only through very intense inspection was a winner decided.
I want thank all of those involved in this process for their time and efforts especially my other judges and especially Annette (at Shrapnel Games) for volunteering to offer the winning prizes.

If the designers would like to have these two campaigns included in the V3 update of WinSPMBT when it's released after we are finished with WinSPww2 just let me know and we'll include the final versions with V3.

Of course, I would be honoured. I have my not so correct English texts corrected by my tester so it should be OK.
If you wish me to send it to you drop a line to sztartur _at_ gmail.com with your e-mail address please. The campaign is tweaked and ready.
Artur.

We won't need is for a few months yet so just hold off until after winSPww2 is released. You may decide in the meantime to make changes

OK everyone. I think its time for another design contest.
It may or may not follow the same format and may be for scenarios or campaigns (I haven't decided yet).
Anyone interested?

It'll probably end up being a Scenario Design Contest. Campaigns are more involved and it tends to scare people off when they realize how much work is involved, even for a small 3 scenario campaign.
