Another issue I've noticed since the patch came out. When I stack ammo containers the game crashes during bombardment phase. Not a big deal...it's not critical to stack ammo units. Just wanted to let you know and see if anyone else has this problem.

update...I ran a test scenario and the crash seems to only happen when the stacked ammo units are targeted in pre-bombardment.

OK, Thanks. This is the second report we have had concerning this issue and it appears it may be the result of secondary explosions. It's on the To-Do list. Stacking ammo dumps or containers in the same hex is not something we considered

Thanks Don. I just like big explosions http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Don,

I've also had issues with the game crashing when a single ammo dump is destroyed. I suspect it may be that an adjacent unit was affected by a secondary explosion. It's difficult to test due to the randomness of secondary explosions.

p.s. I can't confirm this but I saw a fighter drop a bomb on an ammo dump and the ammo explosion downed the jet.

OK, thanks. We'll look into that aspect of the issue as well

Oh boy. Looks like my scenario is completely screwed then. Tell me, if a tank fires on an ammo dump does the game still crash?

In my experience this bug only occurs when you have a secondary ammo explosion that affects a unit adjacent to the exploding ammo unit. An ammo dump sitting by itself with no units around it will explode with no problems. I've had the chance to test this a few times now.

This issue occured in my scenario as well. There were 2 ammo dumps in adjacent hexes, I blew one up and that initiated a chain reaction and a CTD http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.
