Poking around in the UK OOB I noticed that the Hughes chain gun on the Challanger (slot 56) has a HE kill of 8 and is classified as an light gun/autocannon; weapon class 5.
The weapon on the Warrior is the same (slot 54) but is has a HE kill of 5 and is weapon class 19.
Are they used differently or have different rates of fire?

Apparently the Warrior's CG has been chaged class to fit that of the Rarden gun (class 19), which means that both should be able to fire at low-flying aircrafts (any hard data about it?), and anyway if one can, the other should be able too, as being coaxial.
Now about the HEK, I just checked and both have a HEK=5.
Are you sure you have the latest version? I've checked the 2.0 update I think, so possibly what you point out was a mistake that has been corrected since.
Otherwise, maybe that's something about the use (shorter or longer bursts) made of it in different classes fo vehicles.

The Rarden gun on Warrior is a semi automatic weapon, capable of great accuracy.

One is the autocannon version, presumably for the more agile mountings (e.g. not a challenger turret) and it can engage low flying helos.
Both should have the same HEK (8). Weapon #54 is therefore a typo and should read 8 HEK.
Cheers
