View Full Version : Replacement player needed

A 4v4 team game that I'm running has lost a player, before the game even started! Teams and races were randomly pre-determined, so the replacement player will be playing Man, but gets to design the Pretender themselves.

The game is intended to be fast-starting, and generate contact (and combat) very quickly. So it will be played on a modded version of Aran (the mod adds five crossings over the bodies of water that otherwise tend to funnel all land-races into the middle of the map), and each player will start with four provinces. Placement of the races will be entirely random.

The other non-default settings are Indeps 6, Sites 50%, HOF 15, no score-graphs. It will be a TCP/IP game, run at 72-hour deadlines with Quickhost.

First person to claim gets the position. If there's any key information about the game I've missed, please ask.

Nah, why wait? I'm happy with first-come-first-served. PM me your e-mail address and I'll put you in touch with the rest of the players.

There are several other newbies and near-newbies in the game. Only two out of the eight could be classed as being experienced players, and one of them claims to be dead rusty after not playing for eight months. Besides which - although I never got a chance to try it - a team game ought to be an ideal learning environment, as you'll have three team-mates on-line for advice at any time.

Have fun!

Fast starting, as opposed to fast moving? So Mark can still just stop taking turns for 20 turns at a time without going AI, while still having the time to play in other games? Feh.
