dominions 2 won't work on my ibook

i finally bought the entire game after playing the demo for a couple months and i installed and created a new god, but when i go to create a new game the program just quits altogether, i downloaded the latest patch thinking that it might help and when i try to apply it it says i haven't selected the right file or that some of the files are locked or somehing

anybody know what's wrong, please help for love of god, this is torturing me!

Problem solved! Dominions 2.02 gets installed in read-only mode. iPatch doesn't override the read-only flag. Before running iPatch, it is necessary to Command-I on the installed dominions2 application and set it to read/write. Then iPatch works fine, straight from 2.02 to 2.14.

Hopefully, iPatch's upcoming new Version will have a more helpful error message, or be able to override read-only (probably a security violation/impossibility, though).
