Since R'lyeh features in Dom2, I thought I'd share this with you all...

It's a "virtual pet" type of thing, only it's Cthulhu! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I'm writing it for a school assignment... we're supposed to come up with a browser-based virtual pet that uses XML to define its various states http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Only seems to work in IE, though... not Firefox http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

What browser are you using? I only have IE and Firefox installed, and in IE it works while in Firefox it's just a static picture...

Eh, it's pretty simple (and pointless http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif) ... "offer sacrifice" increases the number of sacrifices; "save souls" reduces it; "deploy troops" increases the number of soldiers; "retrograde advance" reduces it... the more sacrifices and the fewer soldiers, the more manic Cthulhu gets... conversely a large number of soldiers or a small number of sacrifices is bad for Cthulhu... too far in either direction and the game ends (I'll leave the two endings as surprises) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif ... also, both the "sacrifices" and "troops" counters tick down gradually as Cthulhu consumes sacrifices and kills soldiers. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Glad you liked them! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I hope to update the game with scary looking fonts, of course... I just wanted to get the darn thing running first! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
