Innovation in audio? WW has many strong points but I wouldn't really call that one of them..no offense intended.

No offense taken. Btw, have you played the full game?

Nope. Impression came from the demo, which had pretty average sound.

I was impressed by the audio actually... there's some very neat stuff going on in the ambient sounds. Encountering stray radio signals is just too cool.

(I'm a musician and audio geek, so I found it interesting.)

yeah, id give it a prize for the stray radio signal thing. that goes miles towards the atmosphere.

Yeah I agree it was a great touch, just wish there were a few more after playing what has got to be pushing 100 something games. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Heh... it'd be awesome if it would pick random MP3s from your hard drive and process snippets of those through whatever effects are being used there. Assuming there's CPU time left over for some lo-fi real-time DSP that is.

Of course on my machine I tend to have stuff that gets no radio play, so it might stretch credibility a bit... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I am also very impressed with the sound. I sure would love to see this "short game" fleshed out into a HUGE game ala Space Rangers 2. I happen to like the graphics and sound in this game a lot more.
