Realisitcally, helicopters would be affected by some types of artillery, particularly if they are landed or getting hit by air-burst rounds. I think that helicopters at low altitude should take damage from certain types of artillery (airburst ones or ones with large explosive radiuses), and landed helos should be damaged by all types of artillery. What do you think?

helos at low altitude and landed can already be hit by arty.

And bombs. I lost a Mil to a napalm strike from an F-4 a couple of days ago. That bugged me, since I am very careful of my helios and having a fighter bomber swoop down and flam'be my Mil seemed unsporting. I had already unloded the troops, so it could have been worse. It was landed, I'm not sure what would have happened if it had been NOE.

I wish there was a helicopter armed with FO/AO abilities. Like an FOV, but a bird instead of a jeep.
