I tried to install Dom II on my new computer but I don't even get beyond entering the CD-key.

I'm sure I'm entering the CD-key correctly, so what's the problem ?

btw I can't use the numbers on the right hand side of the keyboard, only the numbers above my alfabet keys seem to work for this purpose.

Anybody know how to solve this ?
Thanks.

There might have been a problem using numpad for entering numbers. Have you tried using other - key or some similar character?

Can't think of anything else, sorry.

I just thought to mention it. It's not a symptom of anything too severe. I'm going to sleep, but you can search the forums with something along these keywords:
+code/+keycode, codes don't otherwise belong to this forum's vocabulatory so you might get away with it
+numpad, if the problem is related to that, although I don't think so
+install, +problem(s), etc normal keywords

Just remember to add + before every search word.

Borg,
Are you sure you're typing numbers - is the shift or caps lock key in effect ? Check it typing in notepad, sometimes there's keyboard weirdnesses and you end up with an US keyboard mapping (I suppose you use a French or Flemish one...)

also, if i'm not mistaken, you have to type in the dashes as well...did you do that?

also a zero may look like the letter O
or
a lower case L make look like the number 1
or
the number 5 may look like the letter S

I don't know what happened yesterday.
I tried to get beyond the CD key again today and this time it worked.

I still get no life in the num-pad though (and yes ... I have num-lock on)
I had to put caps-lock on and use the numbers on top of the keyboard to enter the CD-key.
I hit "enter" and this time I got in.

Of course this is only v2.02 I have installed now.

Question : do I have to download and install all the previous patches now or can I get everything by just installing the latest patch (2.16) ?

Thanks for your help, fellows.

The newest one should work. It should also fix the numpad issue.
