If anyone has more information about that I would be glad to hear them.
Going to add this to the "List of known issues - reloaded" !

Well, I've used it once, and it worked fine. Delivered a Tartarian and his Tartarettes to the front lines when it would have taken ten turns just to walk them. I think maybe I lost 1 soldier on the way.

From what I've heard, disaster happens quite frequently.

Looks like the CB mod has removed it. I wonder if it would be neat to put it in as a fairly low level spell...just because it is so dangerous.

I tried very hard to do just that, but after testing it a lot I came to the conclusion that it was just too buggy to save.

Upon reading the description of the spell it sounds like actual battles can occur with nasty independents... unfortunately it appears to just kill X amount of units. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif And from all my experiences it's buggy and kills most if not all those using the spell.

Would be very interesting if nasty independents actually did fight your traveling army. Maybe we'll see this in Dominions_3. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

The times I've used Stygian paths it worked fine. Of course, I had a vampire lord leading an army of vampires, which has the advantage of being stealthy, which does help, and immortal, so even if the entire army is killed all I lose is the skull staff.

Are you sure that immortality works in that case?

very true... does the spell use the current province domain where the spell is casted or the province the units are moving towards ??
and what about the other traveling spells (nature & astral) ??

In any case it's way too risky from the testing I've done.

Erm... the other spells don't kill off travelling troops, so that question verges on being a zen koan. The actual ensuing battle, if any, uses the target province's dominion(with HP retention from the previous round in the case of prophets and pretenders).

It doesn't.
