Considering how many cool new unit classes have been added into WinSPMBT that weren't in SP2 (like mule transports, spotter planes, grounded planes, paratroops, bulldozers, various types of ammo storage, etc.) I was surprised that counterbattery radars weren't included. If it's feasible, maybe you could include them in the next update. Whenever the enemy fires artillery, the program checks to see how many CB radars you have, and if you have a few it gives you a greater chance of spotting the enemy artillery. Something to think about.

Counterbattery is already modelled into the game; if you have a few unassigned arty units left when the enemy fires his arty, there's a chance your units will shell HIS units.

Plus, after onmap arty fires one or two missions you already have a "signal" (smoke)to locate them. So IMHO not a priority.

Well, I guess you're right. Even if you have one counterbattery radar you'll spot all the artillery fire on the map, so we can just assume that they're somwhere offmap.

I did try an experiment with counter battery radar units. To see if I could fudge one together to work.

I gave a unit a vision of 255. It Didn't work due to the black art of programing that the AI use's to spot arty units.

There is a thread on it, however I can't find it.
