1 - do commanders (or their troops) on orders to "research" or "preach" contribute to fort defense & repair during sieges?

2 - how about troops in the garrison?

Do sneaking troops get pulled into a fort defense as well?

I'm not sure if they count as actually being able to repair the fort, but if the castle is sieged those sneaking troops will not be in the battle. Sneaking troops need to be removed from the 'hide'/'sneaking' mode to defend the fort in battle.
