Does anyone know what the --verify (exactly) do?
Is it something that is supposed to be working? because I couldn't get the command to work. For example, from dos shell I changed dir to the a games dir and then did "../dom2.exe --verify" then I received an error window (nagot gick fel fellow): "Wrong CD Key".
*Of course, I have a legal copy of the game.*
So basically it would be nice to know what does it do and how to make it work.
TIA

You should not move the dom2.exe. Start it as usual from the dominions2 directory:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
dom2 MyGame --verify
</pre><hr />
should do the trick and generates a .chk file for every .2h file (and the fthrlnd file if present) contained in the MyGame directory (i.e. if you have a game called "MyGame" in this example). As all game directories, this should be a directory directly within the dominions main directory.
Edit: Oh, and look for the created .chk files inside the game's directory, i.e. within "MyGame" in my above example.

This works. Now I can verify both that the turns are ok and that they are relevant to the current turn prior to hosting. Thanks Chazar!
