A Range Question

When you target an enemy unit you get information on the range (in hexes). What about the range from hex A to hex B (not necessarily occupied by units). Is there a "shortcut" besides counting hexes? I didn't find anything in the Help menu.

If the "HELP" text doesn't mention anything like that, then you should assume that there isn't any "range" shortcut.
