dear fellow gamers

am i right in assuming the france '40 and russia '44

DOS campaigns done by mr. mendoza back in 2001 are NOT

convertible to WinSPWW2? i keep getting error messages

when trying to convert them.

More than likely not, as they are way behind the file format changes introduced since then. I have no idea what version they were made in but must be well before DOS v7.

The converter will work for DOS version 7 user campaigns only. In other words, the OOB, scenario map and campaingn file formats must all be compatible.
