well i think, that i have found two bugs:

1.) when soviet para scouts are destroyed they don't leave the map, in the hex where they were destroyed comes a winspww2 logo with the name "para scouts".

2.) in the bombardement-screen you can still order artillery with "arrow-function" when the guns have run out of ammuntion.

A couple of save games showing this would be very helpful. Especially the scout issue.

The "arrow-function" will still work if the guns have smoke ammo

done, I hope this is enough, because it is the only scenario where this happened

Is this a sceanrio ? If yes which one.

So you are saying the guns are showing zero ammo but they will still fire and you still see impacts when they do??

Do you have a save ??

It would be useful to know what killed them, and when so that I can set up a debug scenario. (The savegame is from after they are killed, so is no use for debugging purposes).

So what killed them (flak, rifle fire, killed on landing, other?), and what were they doing when killed (already on the ground, dangling off parachutes, landing in a wood, other)?

Cheers

I have tried to reproduce what destroyed them without success.
I think they take, while they were still in the air, casualties by rifle-fire and the last survivor was killed by the landing.

Looks fixed.

Infanrty units in the air with parachutes, and with several paratroopers so you got near blast damage, routine was getting confused and treating the splash hits as on AFV (hence the "REAR HIT on Scout team with kar98 using HE ammo*" style messages. If destroyed, they had an AFV type fire and the icon was messed up on destruction, sometimes.

Now fixed - paratroopers are treated as soft targets when in the air and hit by near blast damage.

OK......... YOu've found a minor bug. The guns, when out of ammo and you shift fire will show the HE ammo button lit up but NO actual rounds are fired. That's why I asked you earlier.....

I tested this over three turns and no rounds were actually fired. The 10cm mortars ( units M2 and N0 ) and the NW ( units AB1 and AB2 ) will both show you the "bombard" button when you shift fire but they don't actually fire any rounds. The only reason they are still showing up in the arty menu is becasue they still have smoke ammo left to fire.

When you shift fire and have no really ammo left the "bombard" button should NOT re-appear. ...that's the "bug". It should not be doing that. I was under the impression that it was creating ammo when none was left and THAT would have been a serious problem.

I'll talk with Andy and see if we can get the smoke button to light up when there is no HE ammo left when you shift fire or ensure that the HE bombard button doesn't re-appear
