An option I would love to see in Dominion 3 is a way, when you create a game, to decide what's the max level of magic that can be researched.
This way it would be possible to have games that require less micro-managing. I imagine it would even be possible to decide to have 0 as magic level. That would make very different games , more simple and I believe it would be very interesting.

It is already possible to do this with modding, though a bit of work.

So I imagine it would be fairly easy for the developpers to code in such an option in Dom3.

Given that the demo restricted magic research to lvl 4, it should be real easy for the devs. _If_ they chose to do it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

It'd be a very good idea. I've been thinking about this, too.
So if you want a game without too much magic, set max magic level to 2.

Or play a Late Era game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Don't expect Late Era will restrict magic all that much, Agrajag. The ideal thing would be to have an option to restrict magic to whatever lvl of research : that way there's no messing around with making sure everyone has the right mod, no items / spells getting overlooked, no conflicts with other mods.

I think, somewhere, I have a mod that deletes all the spells that really alter games (read: 1v1 5+), leaving only weak stuff like fire flies. It's meant to be played with site frequency zero, rich world.
