My first crack at a historically accurate map.

Made using a topographic map of Wake Island I found at Perry Castaneda, and then drawn by hand by referencing the map.

The map is 160 x 150 hexes (8 x 7.5 km) and pushes the limits of the SPCAMO game map system.

There's some distortion because of the alternating hexes used by SP; but it's a creditable effort; now comes adding the WWII era buildings.

Very nice! Time to give a warning order to the SNLF.

I don't know if a 160x150 map pushes the limits of the game map system but it sure pushes the limits of the map maker! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Good work Mark (as usual) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I may have found a better way than what I used for that map...

I'll explain later how I did that.

Revised map drawn from scratch once more; but taking FAR less time by using a different method.

I'm attaching it as a file in it's "bare" format.
