Is the independant hero party of Bogus, the troll warrior improved for DOM3? is there another new group or independant type or attack (former were barbarians, knights, vine people, vampire counts, troglodytes, death cult).
I think this class of events are cool. (in MP is cool if it happens to somebody else).

Haven's seen him around. However, few things have happened. Independent provinces can now be affected by events, and thus in a long-enough game there would be few independents defended by vampires, barbarians or knights in addition to the original defenders.

What? He has to be. Dont you people know who Bogus is? That was the name before it was Illwinter. I always wondered if that strange little group didnt represent the developers tabletop character group.

They did. I don't remember where or when they said it, but I think the system was Earth Dawn.

Have seen him lately - he and his band had joined the defenders of an indy province.
Can't provide any details, because I havn't attacked him yet http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Thats so cool. That random events can affect independent provinces now. Ive seen some VERY interesting results when Ive taken a province.

Can new mercenaries be added into DOM_3 without taking out old mercenaries ? ( edit: by added I mean modding )

Ah, the days of when I was abusing 'Wind Ride' to summon enemy commanders to fight Bogus outside the walls of one of my castles as a sort of silly tournament... :p
Yeah, I've got a weird sense of humor. I'm not really playing for optimality, but for the wacky things to try.

Does Bogus and crew still "attack commanders" in Dom3?

Um - pretty sure events already effected indy provinces. That's why games with huge numbers of provinces took longer to process turn to turn; also why you could run into a province that had Bogus, vampires, militia, all in one, all on the same side. (Might have been only if they landed on province with a castle, so it nominally wasn't independent, but recall Vale of Infinite Horrors or some such could generate forces via random events that could be nigh unbeatable.)
