I noticed a thread on the Worldwide Republican Party Meetup Message Board about Republicans calling for Bush's impeachment. The consensus in that thread seems to be that impeaching Bush/Cheney would be a good idea.

I would not call a 2 page thread on some random message board I have never heard of worthy of anyones attention.

I'm sure that Democrats who feel impeaching Bush is a bad idea also exist. Neither party is as monolithic as their detractors like to make them out to be.

In America's current two party system, people who wish to make a difference are forced into one of two parties. Many times, this involves choosing a few lesser evils to put up with. There are certainly Republicans who have many liberal ideas and democrats who have conservative ideas. Even grouping ideas into conservative and liberal isn't always sensible. Ideas are ideas, and a person's political party doesn't always mean we know what to expect from them. A person might vote republican all their life on one issue they find most important to the country, even if they tend to agree with more of the content of a few democrats' propositions, or even if they believe one of the republicans they are voting for is a ding-bat. It's not even loyalty, but necessity.
