View Full Version : Major Bug - cannot transport armies via magic

Playing as R'lyeh, I attempted to cast Gateway and move a commander with his army between two distant labs. The next turn, the commander had moved, but the army was left behind. The two labs in question were both underwater, and all army units were amphibious. I double checked for evrything, and then repeatedly tried, to the same effect.

Next, I created the Gate Stone (which allows Astral Travel), and here, not even the commander moved. It is simply broken.

I dont know if the Flying Carpet is also broke, and will report on that ASAP.

This one is already reported in beta forums, but you could post this in bug thread too, just in case.

Great job Johan.

Any ETA on the next patch by any chance?

And do you think the next patch will be backward compartible to the saved games from the release version?

AFAIK, almost all patches should be backwards compatible. In Dom2, most of them were. Since MP is so big with Dom, and PbEM takes sooo long to finish, it make very little sense to have non-backwards compatible patches. something may have changed however.

Patches were always backwards-compatible with m/p games in the beta, and I would not expect this to change.
