I want to play a game in the Middle Era, but I do not know if it is the best idea for me to host...

I'd be up for a game.
Curious, why would it not be the best idea? Trouble remembering to host/send?

It's not hard but it can be a bit laborious. You just need to figure out a system to keep track of the emails. Filters are good for that. Also, there is a way to semi-automate the outgoing emails to players. On a Mac, I use the "automator" function. I know that some other players have figured out a way to automate things on a PC.
If you are going to host, you'll probably want to keep the first game small so that you don't get bogged down with too many emails, etc.

I will play as Ulm if you decide to host a game.

Ya, I will host
I would like to start Sunday 5:00 Eastern US time (to make sure my friend gets his copy!) for the first 10 turns. I am down with hosting each time I get all the 2h files, but if people want a more structured schedule I am down for that to.

Can you join a game that has already been started?
I'm interested in playing, I am familiar with R'lyeh but will try any country.
And to the people I've sent PMs to, sorry, I embarrassingly just discovered the multiplayer forum.

It is hard to join a game that has actually started (that is where players have begun playing turns). Sometimes a substitute is needed, however. I am sure another game will be starting soon.
You can also try joining a blitz on the IRC channel at Gamesurge. They usually happen on the weekend and are a great chance to play a short term MP game over an afternoon. All you need is an IRC program (and there are several available for download). Server: irc.gamesurge.net Port: 6667
The IRC channel is also a great way to discuss the game in real time or ask questions and get answers quickly.
