Hi together,

I played dom2 for some great months 2-3 years ago and today i ordered dom3 from a german online shop.

I'm looking for some detailled informations what have changed between dom2 and dom3. Is there such an information online? I tried google search but found nothing.

Infomations about all the nations, all spells, units, etc. in dom3 would be nice too. Maybe an online manual?

Can't wait for my dom3 version. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

See you in some multiplayer games.

edit: found the wiki, which gives some good nation oversight.

You'll be pretty impressed with the Dom 3 manual when you get it.

Well... There's the Dom3Progress list at ulm.illwinter.com/dom3/dom3progress.html .

Then there are the two old Dev Diaries.

The AAR's on the MP forum also give some info.

There's no full list of changes. Hmm. The only complete list of nations is in the Dominions Wiki, I think. Could someone provide a link?

There are some more subtle changes, but here's a non-exhaustive list:

* more nations

* themes are gone, now nation variants are represented by "ages" for all nations - but unless one does some complex map scripting, games don't mix across ages, so Ulm Black Forest (now Ulm, Late Era) won't meet with, say, Avalon Man (now Man, Middle Era).

* you get to choose whether you get your Pretender on turn 1, or about turn 12, or about turn 36. The later, the more design points you get

* random map generator included in the game

* and, as has been mentioned, a huge (300 pages) manual, with detailed explanations of most game mechanisms and full lists of spells and items. No list of national units, though, which is unfortunate.
