Argh, I FINALLY worked up enough courage to ask this super cute girl out. And come today when it's time, I decided I'd squeeze in one quick blitz ... keeping my cellphone next to me so I wouldn't miss any calls.

And of course I missed the call because I was too busy debating Atlantis vs. Midgard. so here I am sitting at home alone on Saturday night ... I think I'll play some more Dom III. How could this be?! Dom III HAS RUINED MEEEEE!!!!!

PS. It's ok, I called and apologized and we're going to reschedule XD.

But it is still hilarious. The blitz was me and KB vrs Bluebird and DominionsFan and around 5 minutes ago when KB told me about this i just started laughing un-controlably.

Consider this a warning: Despite the addictiveness and god-like qualities dominions posseses dont let it take over like many of us already have.

Hehe, caught this post as I was ready to head out the door to a halloween party. I will be thinking about your misfortune as I get intoxicated while trying to fight off the guys with a stick because of my hawt drag costume.

Girls > DOM 3 imo http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Kissblade, you do realise the russian women are buffer than the men yes?(or are you setting up a slave labour camp to fund further dates?)

Ouch. Remember to watch the clock next time http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Don't feel bad, I've been late to stuff before because of games too. I'm married though, and I was an idiot when we met, an idiot when we got married, and I'm still an idiot so she has to put up with my idiocy haha

that is the best story yet http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

the devs should use this to promote the game: "so good you'll totally forget about your date…"

ok maybe not http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Damn...sorry KB, I guess this is my fault sort of.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/redface.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Its a shame that you had to go anyways, the game wasn't over yet.

Eh ,as far as I was concerned the game was over the moment you started whining about your perceived imbalanced. As I said, anyone who picks Midgard in a blitz shouldn't be whining about imbalance. I'd rather hope in future games you choose not to be so sour.

The problem wasnt that you were playing Dom3. The problem was that you were playing a small map blitz.

Thats why I dont gripe about the hosting times. If it wasnt for long hostings my life would be in shambles from all the things Id have missed, messed up, damaged myself from neglect. Thank the devs for hosting lag. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Eh, I only had problems with that map+atlantis combination. You gotta admit one thing however, your army was very weak, when you had to leave. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Anyways next time we talk less and play more. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Eh actually my army was fine when I had to leave (which was ironically enough right before I got the call since I had a hunch I was probably running late). But it was Bluebird who wanted me to end two turns in a row so I didn't build anything new or script anything and just end turn twice as soon as each turn hosted. If you recall, the only reason I decided to attack your army of sacreds was because Bluebird wanted to see one last "epic battle". Otherwise I was fine with sieging your capital every other turn until I got enough battlemagic to blast your last remaining army out of the game. Well like you said, less talk more play =).

The trick is to not miss your date with the super cute girl...and then get her addicted to DOM. Muahahahahahahaaa! Just watch that she doesn't get fat and greasy sitting in front of the computer eating cheetos.

Try implementing a health-food strategem. It'll cost you a few nature gems and a little more gold, but in the end, it'll keep your Lady of Love from getting afflictions.
