The progress page (http://ulm.illwinter.com/dom3/dom3progress.html) shows a new version (3.01).

Is this patch going to be available shortly or it's still a beta thing that may or not be released later on?

I think it will show up soon. That means he has "packaged" it up. But he has to do seperate patches for each OS (3? 4?) so it might be a day or two

Also, I doubt every change in version number automatically results in a patch. I don't know why, but e.g. there was 2.08 patch for DomII, but no 2.07.

If I was a player I would expect it to be out when the beta group has given it a quick look, perhaps before the weekend.

Doesn't look like any changes to Bless buffs or strategies (unless I read over something). Well, except for this one:
* Blessing can affect sacred undead.

We'd need changes to the overpowered sacred units, not necessarily blesses.

At least on the Helheim front, the Helhirding become capital-only, right? Same for the Svartalf. Serious nerf.

yeah, was about to say that:

* Helhirding only recruitable from site (and double display removed)

but it says so for the Dwarven Smith, not Svartalf:

This looks like a bugfix patch, not a balancefix one. So I'm not surprised they haven't addressed bless rushes.

OK, at least Helheim will have this remaining to them...

Nice, nice, I just can't wait to try out the new spell modding commands. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Due to its glamour units I dare to say that Helheim is still pretty powerful... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Not that I would have been able to abuse this bug in my current AAR even if I wanted too, but (till turn 13 and not thinking about 14 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif ) I am quite satisfied with my current rate of expansion vs. impossible AIs. But I would agree that it would be harder vs. humans http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I think its more of a bug fix than a balance fix because its easier to get an agreement on the bugs. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
