The game server is patched to ver 3.01 so new games have been started. The blitz games have been increased to 4 players on maps of 50 provinces. I added the start button back in so you can start a blitz with 3 or 2 players if you want.

One Turn a Day, does not seems like a Blitz to me. Sure 50 provinces will make a fast game, but I prefer to keep the blitz term to games played during one sitting.

They are there available for that. They all have the quick setting on so if people meet in IRC or Skype and choose one for a true blitz game then they will work. It will process the hosting whenever all the turns are in. But to blitz that way requires that the players set it up. They have to agree on a time frame (we arent all on the same "daytime" so just saying Saturday from 7am to 7pm wont work)

The 24-hour is just an upper limit to keep the game from hanging. Would you rather that was set for 12 hours? 6 hours? 10 minutes? I played a 10 minute per turn game. It was like speed chess. Very different. Im also considering a large game of "musical chairs". Like an 8 player game where it processes every time 7 people have turned in a turn. So the slowest always loses out.

Ive also seen it work well to start a thread that says "game will blitz on Saturday" in the MP forum.

And since none of the games seemed to be running yet Im afraid that I went ahead and killed them all. Check out the new blitz games
