Hello.

My WinSPWW2 has been acting strange lately. It has gone very slow. It takes 5-10 seconds to move/rotate/shoot etc. with a unit. Itīs very frustrating. After the mouseclick, it just freezes for a time. I re-installed, and it worked fine for one turn. I tried to uninstall but it wonīt let me (access denied). So whatīs wrong??

What OS are you using? How much ram on your video card. If it's Win98, try rebooting before playing.

Well if it was working before - then what have you changed on your system (e.g. parhaps installed a new sound card or drivers ?).

Try switching all sound off, in both the in-game preferences screen and also the mouse click on the misc tab of the game options programme screen.

Also - some programme may have casued bad clusters on your hard drive?. Try running disc checking (right click on the drive in explorer, tools, error checking. also a defrag of the drive may be worthwhile).

Turned all sounds OFF and now it runs like it did before!

I never changed anything on my system though...

Well - something has likely changed in your sound setup, as it was working before...

It appears a multimedia software "Vodei" I installed a while back was causing the slowness. Case closed.
