Hello,

I had a question as to what the Rain spell actually does pertaining to flying units.

Does it add extra fatigue to flying units and/or does it limit their movement?

I was looking for strategies to use against an army composed mainly of flying units.

Thanks,
Chris

When it's storming, flying units can't fly at all. Well, most flying units can't. I believe there are a few who are immune to storms, but they're pretty rare. I love using storms and storm power. It's an easy way to make low power A mages more effective.

Rain ups the fatigue, but doesn't otherwise restrict it.

Things that can fly during storm include but are not limited to --
* Air Elementals
* Queens of Elemental Air (duh!)
* Spring Hawks
* Storm Demons
* Caelian Storm Guard/Storm Generals
* Pazuzu, Lord of the Plague Wind
* Horrors

There is, if memory serves, no method of shutting down these flyers en masse... although maybe Darkness should for those without Darkvision.

Badly, afaik it reduces their heat effect and of course, it really hurts their battle mages.

Rain: double fatigue from fire spells, from flying, and -3 to every unit's Heat aura. Units with Heat 3 have Heat 0, etc.
