This may be a Weird Words bug, or it may be an Apple Mac bug, or it may be a bit of both. I don't know! Anyway, this is the report: -

I was playing Weird Worlds (Mizendar Mod), on my PowerBook (Aluminium, 1.5 Ghz G4, 1GB RAM, 256 MB VRAM, latest Mac OS 10.4.8), without the power plugged in.
The battery emptied, and the laptop went to sleep.
I plugged the power cord in to continue playing, but for the rest of that game there was no sound.
I tried increasing the volume to no avail.
At the end of that game (I was destroyed by the way), I quit WW, and went back to the desktop. The sound was now back!
I restarted WW, to find that that now also had sound again.
So is this Digital Eels problem, or Apple's?
I don't think I've experinced this with any other programs, but I can't say I'm certain about that.
p.s. Anxiously awaiting update 1.21 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleep mode in laptops often disables peripherals, especially if they are active. For instance, on my old Toshiba notebook, after returning from "sleep mode", all network connexions are wasted -- my mail program refuses to open POP3 connexions.

One thing though. Since WW is using a lot of CPU just by running (even the main menu is quite hungry), I wouldn't let my laptop sit there with WW running while powered by the battery. I guess it would drain quite fast.
