The AT-11 sniper, reflex ATGM can be fired from tanks and BMP-3s while moving at upto 30kmph. This is not modeled in the game. can it be modeled in the game?

All ATGM are fired from the halt.

yes, in the game all ATGMs can only be fired from the halt.

What I'm saying is that some newer ATGMs can be fired while moving, for a BMP this is a major AT improvement. In terms of very late era gameplay this would be a big change.

or do you mean that this absolutely will not change? if so, explain.

It is built into the basic 1990's SSI code. Would therefore require a completely new game engine.

alright, thanks. that answers the question 'can it be modeled in the game?'

I may be fooling myself, but I have experimented with that a little bit (mainly to get a higher ROF for fire-and-forget missiles), and it turns out that you can get a fire-on-move opportunity at very low speeds (i.e. not from a complete halt, but not 30kph either) with a missile weapon size of 1 or 0 and a very high vehicle ROF (say 20).
This works (sometimes) for dedicated ATGM launchers. I have no idea if it would be worth anything if the missile isn't the main weapon.
Besides, giving a huge ROF value to a tank might have some undesired side effects re. cannon shots and so on... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Anyway I'd say that the experience rating plays a large role therein too.
