View Full Version : Apparent bugginess in uploading turn files

Hi,

I've found that sometimes the behaviour with uploading turn files can be inconsistent. For example, after I've played a turn my girlfriend will sometimes log on from her place to see what's happened (to my bewilderment she's got really keen!), and sometimes it will then put a cross through my symbol, presumably because she's got no .2h file. But sometimes it won't do that.

Anyway, at the moment I'm having quite a severe problem - I need to not upload my turn file for a while, so that the turn won't process too soon, since the guy I'm playing against will miss his next turn if it processes before tomorrow. So, I played my turn anyway, and then clicked "Menu" and "Save game and quit". It explicitly warned me that choosing this option wouldn't upload my turn file - good. Then it did!

So, is there any way to un-upload my turn file? I've tried moving it (effectively deleting it), then repeatedly logging in to the game in order to get the behaviour my girlfriend gets, where it puts a cross through my banner, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas, or any insight as to why it seems to act so oddly?

I haven't heard of a way to remove a played turn from the client end. I thought it was impossible.

The bug(s) regarding the various ways to submit or not to submit turns have been reported. Just closing the program from X in the upper-left corner (in Windows, but other OSs probably have something similar) should work.

Well, I solved the problem by accident, because my girlfriend logged in and it neatly un-uploaded! Weird! Completely un-reproducable on my computer.
