I'm sure most of you have already taken a look at the Dominions 3 entry at Strategy Wiki. I have checked every corner of it (or at least, I hope I did) and I found it to be a bit "unfinished".
I'll try my hand at updating it once I have gotten my copy of Dom3 AND my exams are finished (*sigh*).
I was wondering: What can one put exactly on the Wiki? Ingame info only? I reckon quoting the manual would be a breach of copyright.

Well, the frontier is thin : there's no chance to ever have an at least "understandable" wiki if nothing of what is in the manual isn't there...
I remember having contributed *before* getting the manual (I had a press release) about things that were in (but I didn't know yet !).
OTOH I agree it shouldn't duplicate the manual but gives strategy advice(pretenders, spells, unitsn, combos...).

Im not sure how Shrapnel or Illwinter would view it but the law usually allows quoting a book as being different than copying it. If the quotes were minimum, and referred to a page/paragraph, then it would be legal I think.
Again, thats seperate from whether or not Shrapnel or Illwinter would get mad about it.

I just found another very nice Dominions Wiki: http://lynn.tlfer.net/wiki/farm/dominions
Unfortunately, it's partly in chinese... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif But they have a very active forum with lots of Dom3 posts, too (last link in the first navigation menu on the left).

I remember contributing a bit to StrategyWiki's Helheim page. I wasn't sure exactly where my comments fit in, but I stuck them in there on the theory that the organizational layout was secondary to having stuff to read.
There are a lot of cool tricks you can play with spells and items that aren't nation-specific. StrategyWiki's Dom3 page should probably have a section for spells as well as nations. Note to self...
