Hi guys,
I'm playing the demo and have had a little success on a small island map. However, I'm playing against Atlantis and can't get to attack him, unless I just take my ascendant by himself.
Is there any way of building ships, getting guys over to islands or sea squares if you are giants and don't have aquatic armies??

With water or air magic you can forge a variety of artifacts that enable you to enter the sea - you will need to research construction, first.
You can also use water magic to summon sea trolls, which can enter the sea and are quite powerful.
With death magic you can summon many undead that can enter the sea, but they are not usually effective by themselves.
Air and nature magic together will let you forge boats, but they only let you cross water, you can't fight in the water (for that you need water breathing.) If you have found a site that makes enchantresses, they can get air and nature together.
Hope that helps,

I tried the water breathing ring and it will allow my leader over, but not his army?

Depends on the item. Each item provides water breathing to a certain number of units. For some items, just one unit.

I think you need sea kings goblet, construction 6.

Yes, but the demo only allows for level 4 magic

Then you need nature/water on your god to produce manuals of water breathing.

There may also be land (shore) provinces with aquatic units: Icthyids and shamblers, at least.
There are also air pills, but I don't remember if they're construction 4 or 6. Giants are more likely to have water anyway.

Icthyids are your best bet. They have an amphibious commander and troops too. Build a castle there.

Maz, dont fight water nations in the demo, seriously http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif It takes time and research to get past the land-water demo. Both of which are in short supply in the demo
